NSF CREST/HBCU-RISE/PRP PI Meeting

Over a two-day period, NSF CREST, HBCU-RISE, and PRP principal investigators, directors, faculty, administrators, staff, and students met and discussed relevant topics and issues, shared best practices, and networked. These interactions are essential to the success and sustainability of these impactful programs. The conference was held at University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley on November 19-20, 2024, home of the NSF CREST Center for Multidisciplinary Research Excellence in Cyber-Physical Infrastructure Systems (MECIS).
CREST-IDEALS PI Dr. Maria Tamargo attended the meeting with current IDEALS Fellows Siedah Hall, Mohammad Hassan, and Patrick Yang. They were joined by current IDEALS Postdoc Dr. Seda Kelestemur and two former IDEALS Fellows turned NSF Postdocotral Research Fellows Dr. Ali Eltareb, currently at Lehman College CUNY and Dr. Omari Kirkland currently at The University of District of Columbia CREST Centers.
