IDEALS II Faculty Team, led by Alexander Khanikaev, establish a new Quantum Institute

GO BACK

The City College of New York is establishing a state-of-the-art quantum institute, funded by a five-year $5 million grant from the National Science Foundation, to advance quantum research. The institute, Leveraging synthetic degrees of freedom for quantum state engineering in photonic chips, is led by IDEALS Faculty Prof. Alexander Khanikaev.

The institute comprises leading experts in quantum at CCNY and scientific partners from Nokia Bell labs and the University of Central Florida College of Optics and Photonics, including IDEALS Faculty members Prof. Roger Dorsinville, Prof. Carlos Meriles, and Prof. Vinod Menon.

Congratulations!
