IDEALS Faculty, Steven O’Brien, has been appointed Interim Dean of the Division of Science

Dean O'Brien joined CCNY in 2009 as an Associate Professor of Chemistry. He served as the Louis J. Curtman Chair of Chemistry & Biochemistry. Dean O'Brien's research interests include Materials Science, Energy Storage, and Nanotechnology.

He has trained 15 Ph.D. students and more than 20 Masters' students and many Undergraduates.

He has published over 120 papers in peer-reviewed journals, many of them highly cited.
