IDEALS CREST Center joins APS-IDEA Network

Our NSF CREST Center IDEALS, together with the Physics department at CCNY, has joined the newly formed APS Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (IDEA) Network. APS-IDEA is a new initiative with a mission of empowering and supporting physics departments, laboratories, and other organizations to identify and enact strategies for improving equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Professors Swapan Gayen, Sebastian Franco and Maria Tamargo will represent our team at the upcoming Virtual Introductory Workshop onJuly 30, 2020. The following feedback was provided to our proposal: "The reviewers felt this was a strong application from a team with a good track record. The interdisciplinary team is a plus as is the experience in recruiting URM researchers in the CREST center. Welcome to APS-IDEA!"
