CREST-IDEALS Faculty and Collaborators receive Translational Research Excellence Across Disciplines (TREAD) Award

IDEALS Faculty Elizabeth Biddinger and Stephen O'Brien teamed up with other CCNY faculty members under the leadership of CCNY's former Associate Provost for Research, currently the Associate Vice Chancellor and University Vice Provost for Research at CUNY, Dr. Rosemarie Wesson, to secure a grant from the U.S.Department of Education entitled "Translational Research Excellence Across Disciplines, or TREAD. The City College of New York is the recipient of this $5 million grant to build an ecosystem of support for Ph.D. student recruitment and success; fundraising to create sustainable fellowship programs; germinating translational research and training in partnership with industry and government; and developing a training and research program in convergence science.
