Former IDEALS Intern, Marva Tariq of Smith College, Receives Top Honors

Former IDEALS High School Intern, Marva Tariq of Smith College, has received a Goldwater Scholarship, the highest national honor available to STEM sophomores and juniors who are U.S. citizens. As a Chemistry major, Ms. Tariq plans to pursue a graduate degree in organic chemistry, and hopes eventually to become a scientist at a national lab, researching organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry.
